As Verve’s Chief Financial Officer, Ms. Achonu is responsible for instilling a financial approach and mindset throughout the Company in order to enhance performance and stewardship.  She works actively with the other business leaders at Verve to guide and support strategic and key business initiatives through involvement in the planning, execution, oversight and analysis of all financial matters including financial reporting, treasury, tax, balance sheet management, internal controls, and financial systems. 

 

Ms. Achonu has an undergraduate degree in Commerce from the University of Toronto and holds a CPA designation.  She started her career with Deloitte and has served in senior finance positions at Fairmont Raffles Hotels, Delta Hotels, and InnVest Hotels, leading teams responsible for financial reporting, accounting and investor relations.  Ms. Achonu has a proven record of financial leadership and effectiveness, bringing a wealth of experience with Audit Committees and Boards.
